POND CROSSING MISSION
To cross the pond by using a rope frompoint A to point B.The staff will do a demonstrationon how to enter the water and how to disconnect the karabiner’s/ snap link. Once the participant is in the water, he must hang on to the safety line that is place across the pond. He will then pull his body up with his hand and float on his back and sail himself to the far end for a safecrossing of the pond. Maximum 3 participants are allowed to be in the water at any one time doing the exercises and all participants are compulsory to wear a life jacket/ safety vest and a body line of 8 feet long rope. OBJECTIVE. This activity is good for selfconfident, courage, flotation, concentration and phobia of water training. Planning by the leader is also important in this exercise. METHOD Team members shall be taught how to hook and unhook the karabiners/ snap link to the safety line and how to float. Usage of life jacket is compulsory to all participants that will take part in the exercise. Each team member will be equipped with a safety line, life jacket and a karabiner. Our S&R Trainers will brief the Group on the do’s and don’t before the start of the exercise * Ideal size per team shall be will between 10 – 12 persons per team.Minimum number of participants is 30 participants for the activity. |
